One of Virginia’s premier wineries, Linden Vineyards is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains, 60 miles west of Washington DC. The entire wine production of 4,000 cases comes exclusively from three distinct vineyard sites. Linden is best known for single vineyard bottlings of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Bordeaux variety red blends.

We ship via UPS to Maryland, Washington, DC, and Virginia; and have wines available for pick up at the winery by prior arrangement.

Winegrower’s Selection
FROM OUR CELLAR TO YOUR DOOR
We've heard from many of you that busy lives have made frequent visits to Linden more difficult. If you've missed special releases and small-lot bottlings, Linden’s subscription offering may be of interest.
The Winegrower’s Selection will include six-bottle shipments twice a year of small-lot bottlings, unusual wines, and vintages of which we are particularly proud. The November 2024 shipment included the Cabernet Franc 2022 (pre-release), Avenius Red 2019, Claret 2021, Hardscrabble Chardonnay 2022, Wabi Sabi 2021 (pre-release), and Boisseau Viognier 2021 (pre-release). The next shipment will be in April 2025 with wines selected this winter.
Currently, the cost ranges from $260-$325 per shipment (6 bottles, two times per year) depending on selection, plus any applicable taxes and shipping fees. Shipments will go out in April and November.

In Situ | Visits
Winegrowers have a passion for sharing information and ideas. Internships, exchanges, technical visits, and random emails are all part of our profession. This is an extension of our farming roots. Farmers are introverts by nature and live a fairly isolated life by design. But when the occasion arises, we enjoy sharing our experiences with others who work the same way. Over the years I’ve sometimes been received at other vineyards with an air of skepticism, but once we talk the talk, and it becomes apparent that we do the same work and have the same struggles and rewards, a bond quickly forms.

Intro | Vineyards and Climate Change
We’re just back from the region of Irpinia (also known as Avellino) in southern Italy. We were there to learn about a grape that I had never heard of a decade ago. Fiano produces a white wine of great character and aging potential. Its stellar performance in Linden’s Climate Change Trial Vineyard has been the inspiration for us to make a pilgrimage to its source.
