2004 Avenius Red


Tasted December 2016: still very primary red fruit on nose, but showing forest floor characteristics. Palate shows a lots of cherry and a high acidity. Medium body. Tannins resolved. Drink now with pasta or a cheese course. (JL)


Palate

Rich and savory, resin-like concentration with good sap, a brooding, long, chewy finish.

Aromas

Wild blackberry & boysenberry, dark chocolate, cedar & grilled meat.

Winemaking

70% Petit Verdot & 30% Cabernet Sauvignon.
