New Releases | April 2018
Timing is everything
Even though spring is not cooperating, we’ve released some of our spring wines. Highlights include:
2016 Village Chardonnay
This is a blend of all three of Linden’s vineyards, with the majority coming from Hardscrabble. As new plantings start to bear grapes, much of the young vine production will be dedicated to Village, as wines from young vines tend to be more fruit forward and approachable at a young age. The 2016 comes from a warm vintage, so there is already some weight and ripe fruit aromas.
2016 Linden Rosé
I don’t care what others may say. Rosé needs warm weather to be fully appreciated. That’s why we held back some of the 2016 bottles in the cellar last fall, determined to wait out the winter and release when the temperatures rise. Time in the bottle has harmonized and integrated the 2016 Rosé. Is it possible for rosés to be complex? By the way, there’s nothing better than salmon and rosé.
