Ready for Delta

Yesterday we picked a variety of blocks that were in the window of ripeness. The rain remnants of Delta could potentially cause problems to any grapes that are close to ripeness. So today we crush those grapes: Boisseau Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot along with Hardscrabble young vine Cabernet Franc.

The Hardscrabble Cabernet Franc is from the vines planted in 2018. I have been chronicling this block’s evolution in the Terroir Project since 2016. This is their virgin harvest. Although it is a small quantity, there is enough for a barrel. My hope is that “post COVID” we can share this result of years of planning and effort.
