Silvio Grasso Bricco Luciani Barolo 2008

An iron fist in a velvet glove. Restrained, but powerful. Great food wine. Only gets better with time in the glass.

In our search for stylistic guidance this deftly made Barolo gave us a certain confidence of direction. Over the past decade Barolos have been putting on more weight due to a warming climate. The 2008 vintage was old school classic. This cooler vintage attracted us as we search for wine styles to emulate during our blending trials of our weather variable 2021 vintage.
