Decision Day

This weekend’s weather was perfect: dry, cool, and sunny. Ripening is back on track and we have a weather forecast that is close to ideal.

Today is decision day. This morning Jonathan and I will walk all three vineyards to evaluate flavor development and the health of the clusters and vines. Berry samples of Chardonnay, Semillon, and Sauvignon Blanc will be gathered.

Shari will extract juice from the collected berry samples and run lab tests. Then we will taste and evaluate the juice. 

We’ll have all the information we need to make the call. And then harvest will begin.
